It is 2009 and Porters Restoration is now in its 31st year of serving this region by providing disaster restoration services. Some may know that Porters Restoration was the third company birthed from the original dry-cleaning company of Porters Cleaners founded in 1951. Diversification has been the key as the original company evolved and as the scope of Porters Restoration’s services expanded.
Diversification has to be a controlled behavior. We believe that it is very important to have a target that we can excel at and be known for. Before one can diversify, one must have a foundation that is solid and trustworthy. This is where the identification of a company’s current mission, vision and core values plays a large role. Identifying and maintaining the current target is as important, if not more important, than identifying new targets.
Here is our current target. Here is our current Mission, Vision and Core Values. At last week’s company meeting we unpacked and measured each section of our responsibilities. We identified our weaknesses along with our strengths, recommitting to maintain our number 1 rating with those that believe we are, and initiating new initiatives to change the minds of those that believe we are not.
Therefore we present to you our target. As you read it, please feel free to reply to this message with comments or your views of how well we are doing.
