What about My Insurance?

When you authorize us to perform repair services, we strive to remove the stress from your difficult situation. For this reason, we will work directly with your insurance company to write the estimate, perform services, and receive payment.

At Porters, we’ll also work with you to help you determine whether your insurance covers your losses, as insurance can be difficult to understand. In most flooding situations, for instance, your homeowners insurance will cover the cost of having professionals make sure you, your family, and your home are safe, and that the restoration is completed according to national standards.  Frozen pipe floods are covered by homeowners insurance, as are water heater, dishwasher, and washing machine leaks and sink, toilet, and bathtub overflow (even if the kids caused it). In most cases, you do not need flood insurance.

What if I want to Remodel and Restore?

The goal of structural restoration is to make get your property back to looking and functioning the way it was before you experienced the loss.  However, if you have to restore your property, you might want to take the opportunity to complete the remodeling jobs you’ve always wished you could start.  Porters will work with you on any changes you would like, whether it is adding to or subtracting from the original work order. We can help you turn your disaster into an opportunity.

Whether you’re stopping at restoration or going on to remodeling, at Porters Restoration, we know that you’re in charge. At Porters, you make your material selections, then sit back and let us do all the dirty work. We use area suppliers like Home Depot, Menards, Lowes, and Schilling lumber. Your choices are only limited if your insurance company only works with certain suppliers. When selecting flooring, we’ll even bring our Mohaw, Shaw, and Beaulieu flooring samples to you so you can make your selections from the comfort of your own home..
